OLD PAST BIO: Owen McCabe was born, adopted, and raised in a tiny little town in California called Sunnydale. Yup, that Sunnydale. The entire McCabe clan was mercifully very lucky. None of them were ever directly involved in any catastrophic tragedies, though to be fair, that might've just been good parenting on Mr. and Mrs. McCabe's part. Owen and his adopted siblings all went to private school the next town over, were forbidden to ever even approach The Bronze, and were each kept extremely busy with a myriad of extracurricular activities. Their highly structured brand of good, clean, all-American fun has produced some astounding results, including 2008 Summer Olympics Swimming golden child Owen McCabe. Then again, maybe the impressive success stories of the McCabe children have less to do with good parenting and more to do with the adoption/selection process: every last McCabe kid is unknowingly a powerful entity in their own right.
RECENT BIO: Owen has had a lot happen in the last twenty years. After dating Christy for a few more months he popped the question and the two happily wedded. Though their relationship has remained wonderfully solid over the years, the McCabes have had their lions share of supernatural complications: first, the revelation of Owen's selkie nature. Because he was raised human from such a young age and so deeply in love with Christy, however, Owen was able to resist the magical beckoning of the sea after finding his pelt (he has now tasked his wife with the job of keeping it hidden and protected so no one can bend him to their will but her). Then, when Christy became pregnant with a highly magical child, the couple had to desperately seek a way to imbue Christy with her own magic again in order to carry the baby to term without dying, herself. Fortunately, the McCabes received their miracle from the angel Courtney, who was able to gift Christy with her abilities as a witch once more so as to properly protect and raise their beautiful half witch/half selkie children (they ultimately had two: a boy and a girl, a modest number when one considers the previous generation of McCabes).

OLD PAST BIO: The daughter of your average human con artist, Courtney had the dubious distinction to be a first born child. So when her mother made a deal with the infamous Wolfram & Hart to get out of debt and jail time, thirteen year old Courtney's soul was the bargaining chip. She took the whole 'sorry, kid, you've been sold to pure evil's law firm' thing reasonably well, and dutifully used any and all personal skills to the service of the corporation that owned her. But just because Wolfram & Hart technically owned her, didn't mean Courtney had given up all ambition for herself. Even as a mortal human, Courtney was ever reaching upwards in all things, and had vague plans for advancement (most of which center around getting herself a demon spawn that she can use the way her own mother used her). Ultimately, it was her boss's abandonment of the firm (and of her) that catapaulted Courtney into true power. She managed to convince the Senior Partners to convert her into a demon and allow her to take over the liaison position. For months, she wreaked havoc down on the citizens of Seattle, making plenty of enemies and only one true ally. Eventually, this caught up with her and she was painfully maneuvered out of power on the forces of evil. This, however, lead her to seek out a former business contact: the angel Gabriel. Giving the armies of heaven vital information on the enemy, Courtney was able to elevate herself to angelic status, but had done so with every intention of the situation being only temporary. But as Courtney knows, perhaps better than anyone, circumstances have a way of changing even the best laid plans.
RECENT BIO: Courtney is still an angel. She is a ruthless and efficient sort of angel. Despite all of her holiness and noble intentions it's easy to see the ex-Wolfram liaison in her methods. Deals with this angel feel suspiciously like deals with the devil. But, she does have a notable soft spot for the kids and those cases where free will is violated-- yeah, don't ever mess with a kid or someone's free will where Courtney can see. She will smite a bitch. She appears especially smite-happy these days, given earth's current dire predicament after the successful apocalypse and the death of Buffy Summers.

After dating Owen for a few more months, he popped the question and the two happily wedded. Though their relationship has remained wonderfully solid over the years but they were not without complications. First, the revelation of Owen's selkie nature. Kid of shocking to find out your husband was born a sea creature but she loved him anyway and was given the job of hiding his pelt away so it couldn't be used against him. When Christy became pregnant the duo set out to seek a magical solution so that she could carry the baby to term without dying.

Fortunately, the McCabes received their miracle from the angel Courtney, who was able to gift Christy with her abilities as a witch once more so as to properly protect and raise their beautiful half witch/half selkie children (they ultimately had two: a boy Evan and a girl, Hope).

When close friend and slayer Cara died Owen and Christy took it upon themselves to take in her daughter Alicia. They raised and cared for the girl as if she was their own.

During the most recent apocalypse, Owen and Christy got separated from their children and are trying most desperately to locate them again.

PAST/BIO (what they've been doing the past 20 years for Canon characters): Zadkiel is the archangel of freedom, benevolence, mercy, and the Patron Angel of all who forgive. He is listed as the Co-Chief of alongside Gabriel in the order of the Shinanim and is one of the nine rulers of heaven, as well as one of the seven archangels presiding next to God. As an angel of mercy, some texts claim that Zadkiel is the unnamed Biblical Angel of the Lord who holds back Abraham to prevent the patriarch from sacrificing his son, and because of this is usually shown holding a dagger.

+ Zadkiel assisted the great Archangel Michael when he bears his standard in battle.

+ Zadkiel is Chief of the Order of Dominations.

+ Zadkiel is thought to be the Angel of Mercy,the Angel of Memory and the Angel of Benevolence.

In the twenty years since Zadkiel took human form he has helped the side of good in their efforts to fight those who wished there to be hell on earth. Although not a firm fan of the idea of making former Wolfram & Hart employee Courtney Sloane an angel, the years have changed his opinion on her Zakiel now values her imput.

In the old days it was really against the will of Heaven for Angels to interfere in the affairs of those on Earth but since the death of Chosen One Buffy Summers, the event of which brought upon the world an apocalypse, the rules have been changed so they can better help the heroes and fight back hell.

PAST/BIO: Born and raised in the Midwest, there was certainly no telling Nathaniel would end up in the likes of war-torn Seattle when he was younger, far more content trying to get through school and keeping those problems miles and miles away. Everything was normal; School was normal, work was normal when he was actually old enough to do it and get paid, even the decision to ship off with the United States military was normal given his father’s former standing in the Marine Corps. That led him to where he expected it to: Overseas and then to a career position in military intelligence, Nathaniel not about to quit on his military career because, despite the danger, it wasn’t a bad career to have.

Where he didn’t expect it to lead him was to a secret government organization called the Initiative which took note of his rather impressive marksmanship skills, strategic smarts and, perhaps more importantly, the potential he could bring to their organization. It was a new enemy; It wasn’t one carrying guns or fighting by conventional means, but Nathaniel certainly wouldn’t pass up a challenge. Over the years he trained and did a number of field assignments elsewhere, be it with a team or on his own, to track and retain information on a variety of supernatural creatures: Demons, vampires, the occasional so-called angel sighting which had become frequent because of the growing tension in none other than Seattle, Washington.

When the third apocalypse hit Seattle, there were a number of Initiative agents stationed although none could do much against their adversary for all the information and technology they had. Even Buffy, who met her end during the ordeal, couldn’t seem to stop it alongside a number of vampires and hunters the organization had been keeping their eyes on for years. Eventually, Nathaniel disbanded from the organization, preferring -- against just about everything that said it wasn’t worth it considering how much of the city was already lost -- to stay in Seattle, lending a hand now and then. He still keeps informed through a connection within the organization, but for the most part has gone rogue.

PAST/BIO: Born just a few years before the apocalypses hit Seattle on November 10, 2006, there wasn't a single shred of that supernatural 'nonsense' in the home of her parents, both God-fearing, church going individuals who only grew more in their beliefs as Seattle began to feel the lash of demonic powers. It was almost enough to drive Madison insane, spending most of her time not at school or out with a friend or two stuck up in her room just so she didn't have to join her parents for 'family' sort of activities. Sure, given a few years, it would be a good thing that they didn't expect her to join them at the drop of a hat, played off by her just being a teenage girl and not wanting her parents hanging over her shoulders, but eventually it became the one means to hide out what she was.

It was just one of those nights out, spent by a fire in the woods behind her parents' house and exchanging ghost stories with friends and trying not to get bit by any creepy forest-dwelling insects, where she came face to face with one of those creatures of the night -- Some big dog with bright eyes and sharp teeth to match which made short work of slicing into human flesh. It was a miracle any of them survived considering the amount of blood they were found in upon making it back to the house, Madison's parents completely writing the story off when she finally did get the nerve to tell them. Day in and day out, it was trying to get some sort of response from them which wasn't just being ignored; Night in and night out, it was trying not to go race out and hunt the first person she saw only to end up blacking out, waking up in strange places with the taste of blood in her mouth.

Eventually her parents found no other alternative -- especially when the wounded animals started showing up -- to send her off to an asylum where, hopefully, a 'professional' would be able to stop all the jabber about werewolves and the supernatural and whatever else she could think to throw at them after reading up. Over the years, the hunger wore away at her. Sometimes she was completely fine and cooperative while others she would strong arm an orderly twice her size into a wall only to have three more sedate her. It wasn't until Hell spilled out on Earth that she even thought she had a moment of peace; When the orderlies and the doctors were gone, moved or killed be it by a dangerous patient or two which snapped or whatever had spilled out of the Hellmouth.

While others found it their means of escape, Madison stayed behind. After all, what was she going back to when she was sure her parents had moved somewhere else to get away from Hell? Or what if they were dead? Those thoughts alone kept her and still keep her within those walls -- the idea of demons and possibly running into the likes of Cross' minions sure are a help as well -- Madison taking the asylum as her own personal hide away, still living out of the small, near empty room of her own rather than the majority of the building which has, for lack of a better term, gone to Hell.

The leopard and the human; thankfully, however, she has enough control over the leopard as a human to be able to deal with it.

She has a habit of changing her hair color at various points in time. Cody will go from honey blonde (natural color) to a silvery blonde to pink and a variety of other colors. She enjoys 'changing her spots' as she calls it.

PAST/BIO: A native of Seattle, Jeremy had a few years ahead of his sister to just be a kid and enjoy life until the apocalypses started hitting the city one after another, stopped only by some misfit group of vampires, angels and a whole other bunch of supernatural beings which became more and more known over the years as the threats grew in proportion. Soon enough, there wasn’t anything for the mortal population to do but worry about when Hell was going to suck them all down into the Pits especially when the Slayer, Buffy Summers, was taken out and the vampires reigned supreme in a rather important part of the city considering the university was located within it. A student at the time, Jeremy had no choice but to get out of there and find himself another place to stay, eventually coming to own a small loft in the unscathed part of the city.

While a portion of the city coming into vampire rule and the struggle going on is a constant event of importance, especially considering his own ailment -- something he doesn’t necessarily consider a superbly bad thing considering it seemed to be hereditary, his sister, Cody Parker (

changemyspots), harboring the same transformation now and then, but something that definitely puts a damper on plans sometimes -- Jeremy has learned to make the best of it. He doesn’t let it deter from what he likes to do, doesn’t let it deter him from his job as a DJ for one of the more lively nightclubs in town; In fact, he is pretty sure the vampires don’t even stop that, a few spotted every so often in the primarily human establishment. After all, while many humans didn’t bother to trek into vampire territory, the vampires -- most of them at least -- knew better not to trek into human. More people unwilling to take vampire politics and more Slayers condensed in one place meant more chances to be staked.

Although he doesn’t necessarily choose a side in the war, it is easy to see between living among the remaining mortals who brave the streets of Seattle against their better judgment and those few spats with vampires he has had which, all things considered, are probably the result of too many drinks and someone trying to cop a bite out of one of the club regulars, that Jeremy isn’t exactly a big fan of vampires or their so-called king. He doesn’t go out looking for trouble, but he isn’t going to take it from a bunch of lackies on power trips who don’t even register in the upper echelons of vampire society.

PAST/BIO: (full bio) Level-headed and really rather calm, Matthew Archer was that quiet kid someone would see sitting in the back of class with his eyes on the world outside rather than the teacher in front of him, preferring the real life experiences as a means of education rather than sitting in a classroom with a pen, paper and someone lecturing for so many hours. Of course, being born on July 11th of 2008 didn't do much good for him growing up in Seattle, the city on the verge of apocalyptic meltdown thanks to a bunch of supernatural misfits, a handful of angels and armies of demons which had found their ways onto the streets thanks to the now king of all vampires and his magical accomplice at the time, Randal Constantine. From then on out, things only seemed to get worse for the family who lived in northern Seattle. Rather than make any plans to attention university there or even finish graduating high school, Matthew and his family moved out East to Chicago, Illinois where they had family. Even though Chicago has its own Slayer and vampire problems for a time, back in the early 90's, it definitely wasn't to the extent of Seattle.

Still that quiet kid in class, there was little out of the ordinary aside from the news about back home which constantly played on the news when something else happened. For a while it had been about the uprising in the first place, the vampires turning on the mortal citizens of the city at long last to gain some sort of ground and standing for themselves; The death of Buffy Summers who had, up until that point, been the more predominant and long-lasting Slayer Matthew had actually heard of and, of course, the ascension of Gabriel Cross to the so-called throne with his self-proclamation of being the king of his kind. It was a whole bunch of nonsense that he was proud to be away from even if it had for the longest time bothered him he couldn't stay where he had been born and raised. It wasn't even until around his graduation from high school, pouring over exam prep. texts and college applications so he could actually get into a good school, that he found out what he was actually able to do from -- no surprise -- his parents.

Long members of the magical world themselves, it had been one of those things that the Archer parents had kept to themselves to avoid finding themselves in hot water when it came to living in Seattle. Passed on from generation to generation since the 14th century when the plague was running across Renaissance Europe, those magics had started out through dealings with demonic entities to make sure the Archer family would have some sort of future when the disease passed. When one generation died off, the next in line got it and apparently it had been Matthew's own grandfather's death which had allowed him to tap into those magical energies. From then on out, there was little studying actually done unless it was about those arcane arts, Matthew putting off college for a few years since it really wasn't what interested him. After all, real life experiences taught a person, in his opinion, a hell of a lot quicker than hitting the books. It was all experience versus memorization.

PAST/BIO: One of the many to fall from the Heavens after Lucifer's descent, Belial eventually became known as the angel of confusion and lust, using his charismatic and traits gained from his choice of vessel on Earth to induce any types of sins in mankind, typically those related to sex and lust. With an army under his control known as the Sons of Darkness -- written in a prophecy to wage war against the Sons of Light, lead by the archangel Michael -- Belial became one of the Four Crown Princes of Hell, reigning in the northern regions of the underworld, a position he still holds even though he has taken up vessel on Earth, leaving his bride in his place.

Given the current conditions in the city and the number of vampires who just took their fill and left their victims for dead on the streets, Belial easily found a means to come up to the mortal plane through vampire victim Seth Matthis who met his unfortunate and untimely death after a social gathering ran late. Essentially a playboy, living off his inheritance reliquished at his father's death and club owner, Seth had been there simply to leave a good name for the company in a donation to medical research and had left with the person who would have turned him if a Slayer hadn't stopped her. Death was just the beginning to Belial, the demon taking over the vessel as soon as his soul and life had left. Given there was no opportunity for a missing person report or witnesses to see his death, it was almost as if nothing had changed save for a moon-shaped burn on his neck; Belial could live in the lap of luxury and keep an eye on those dark spots of Seattle personally.

His motives are unknown for the moment (more than likely scoping out the odds), Belial simply enjoying the freedoms of mortal life. Of course, since the arrival of Apollo, things haven't been as good as they used to be with the demons and vampires in hiding, Belial not exactly thrilled about it, plenty of those club patrons belonging to the underworld.
