The Rules
Lurking
- This is a Role Playing community, which means that participation is vital for its very purpose!
Posting
-No bashing members, cursing members, or attacking members or staff.
-No spamming.
-Avoid excessive use of ALL CAPS, DiStOrTeD TeXt and kool t@lk. (Note: When posting in character, ALL CAPS mean your character is yelling, but please try not to yell that often and only when necessary.)
-No double posting; edit your post if you need to add something else.
-Threads/Posts with discussions about "illegal" software, downloads, sites, etc are not allowed and will be promptly deleted.
Private Messages
-PMing in excess or for no reason to the recipient is called PM spam and is not allowed.
-Chain letters through Private Messages is forbidden.
-Bashing, insulting or otherwise is also forbidden via PM and should be reported immediately.
Applying
-You may use one journal for multiple characters, but please make sure you have different icons for each character when you post so that we know who you're playing.
-Please, if you are going to play more than one character, be sure you can handle however many you take on. It's a shame to delete a character when someone runs out of time, especially when that character has interacted with others.
-For the time being, there must be at least a two week waiting period before applying for a new character, and previous characters MUST have established themselves in the game. I love new characters, but creating them on a whim and forgetting them or others is ridiculous.
-At this time we will only accept original characters.
Advertising
-You may link to your site/board in your profile.
-PMing members advertising your site/board is NOT allowed.
-If you want to post about your site/boards, please do so in the OOC community
Images/Bandwidth
-DO NOT LINK IMAGES FROM THIS GROUP, that takes bandwidth from the site thus taking up space
-Any Art Work on this site BELONGS TO THE PEOPLE THAT CREATED THEM. So if you want to put the art (Avatars, Banners, etc) anywhere else please ask the people who created it AND CREDIT THEM WITH A LINK BACK. If I find out you took something with out permission I'm going to be very angry and you'll never hear the end of it, cuz I'm a graphic artist myself!
Actual RPG (Role Playing Game) Rules:
- While AIM isn't required, it is recommended as the main IM since we chat a lot. However, I understand some computers crash when using AIM, and other IM's are allowed. If you don't have any form of IM, be sure we have your e-mail.
- When making new posts use the following format:
- Please make your posts longer than two lines. Anything less will be considered spam. It really isn't that hard to take a few extra sentences and describe what your character is feeling or seeing around them.
- CONCERNING MAGIC/SPELLS: It has been decided that magic on vampires requires a lot more both out of the spell itself and the witch/warlock to be affective. Any spell that affects a normal human will affect a vampire, however not as strongly or not as long. Additionally, it takes a lot more energy from the witch/warlock to perform a spell on a vampire. The older the vampire, the more strong the magic must be.
- ALL MATURE/SEXUAL CONTENT must be behind a cut. Sexual content is allowed since we're trying to make this realistic, but we have to respect that not everyone wants to read that.
- NO KILLING, KIDNAPPING, IMPREGNATING, ETC. CHARACTERS without having talked to first the mod, and then the character you plan to do it to. If it is your character, just talk directly to me.
Note: If your reason for killing your own character is simply that you don't wish to play them anymore, or you don't have the time, cuz I realize some people besides me have lives, let me know. Chances are there is someone willing to pick up your character and keep them alive!
- ITALICS that aren't a single word you're emphasizing are considered to be a thought in your character's mind and can not be heard by other characters unless a spell allows it or other special circumstances.
- Please remember that any rudeness or dislike that a character expresses towards your character does not reflect how the person playing that character feels about you. It just means that they are being realistic in their Role-Playing (cuz who likes everyone they meet anyway?). If you feel uncomfortable with the way your character is being treated, however, PM me.
- If you are going to be gone for any reason for an amount of time that will cause a pause in the RPGs, please let everyone know first. You can leave a post in the OOC community, and then another when you get back.
- Remember that the purpose of Role Playing is to have fun! If we're not achieving that, then we truly are waisting our time
- When using major powers on other players (ei: witchcraft, demon summoning etc.) be sure to PM or IM the player you are interacting with and makes sure they are okay with it. This doesn't mean that you can never be affected by others' powers, because that's just ridiculous, but it is nice to see what's coming. We don't want any god modding!
-The Mods reserve the right to expel any player from the game at any time for any reason.
- Lastly, so that I know you've read the rules, put "fire bad, tree pretty" as your comment subject when applying for a character or requesting character holds. Any comments without this title will be ignored and deleted!
